Committed Prospects Look to Shine at the Top Prospect Games



In addition to many uncommitted prospects in the Class of 2013, the PA Top Prospect Games will also showcase a handful of highly ranked propsects who have already made their college commitments. Today we will take a look at these prospects who will be vying for the opportunity to be invited to participate in Prep Baseball Report's premeir event of the year, the Super 60 Showcase in February.

Shane Dressler, 1B/3B, Red Land HS
Dressler is ranked No. 4 in Pennsylvania and No. 84 overall in the PBR combined Class of 2013 rankings. At 6-foot-4, 215-pounds, the VCU commit, has the potential to be a power hitter at the next level. Dressler is rated as one of the top 20 first baseman in the country in his class.

Adam Bleday, LHP/OF, Titusville HS
Bleday is ranked No. 5 in Pennsylvania and No. 48 overall in the PBR combined Class of 2013 rankings. He is a 5-foot-11, 185-pound potential two-way player who has committed to the University of Virginia. He was named the 2011 Amateur Baseball Report National Player of the year as a 16U player. Bleday is a quality outfielder with the speed to track down balls in the gaps as evidenced by his 6.97 60-yard dash time. The lefty will be a pitcher first at the next level sitting 85-87 with his fastball. Bleday has command of a solid 80mph changeup that has good late sinking action and a plus curveball that he throws at 76mph.

Matt Davis, SS/2B, Cumberland Valley HS
Davis is ranked No. 27 in the Class of 2013 Rankings. He is a 5-foot-10, 165-pound middle infielder who has committed to play for VCU. In 2012 Davis batted .348 with five home runs and 21 RBI. Davis is a talented offensive player who shines with his glove work, arm strength and range defensively.

Ricky Dennis, RHP, Central Bucks South
Dennis is ranked No.53 in the Class of 2013. He is a 6-foot-8, 225-pound RHP Dennis who has projectable size for a power pitcher and has shown continual progress. Dennis currently tops out at 88mph with a heavy fastball and has committed to Monmouth University. With additional work and fine tuning to his delivery, Dennis should see 90mph in the near future.
