Scouting Report

6/15/20

Physical: Solid blend of physicality and athleticism in a 5-foot-9 171-pound frame. 6.81 runner in the 60-yard dash.

Offensively: RHH. Balanced, open setup while utilizing a leg-hang to initiate a violent slightly uphill barrel path from the shoulder through the hitting zone. Physical lower half generates loud contact at the front of the plate allowing for noticeable pull-side pop during batting practice. Showcased home run juice on occasion with gap to gap feel. Displayed high level bat to ball skills while hitting into a stiff front side and registered a 91 mph bat-exit velocity per Trackman Baseball.

Defensively: The shortstop beats the ball to the spot with a low center of gravity and a soft glove hand allowing for momentum through the fielding window. Quick first step allowed for decisive routes with aggressive footwork. Made the play on the run with a feel for timing and ability to throw from multiple arm angles; primarily through an accurate, ¾ slot. SS - 77 mph

2/22/20

Showcased a lean 5-foot-9, 145-pound frame with some twitch and present strength in his actions. The right-handed hitter begins with a narrow, even stance utilizing a leg-hang to initiate his swing. Generated sink into a strong lower half while hitting behind the baseball creating easy barrel whip. Displayed ability to produce consistent backspin to all fields through a slightly uphill path and showed feel for the hands during batting practice. Recorded an 80 mph bat-exit velocity and ran a 6.93 60-yard dash. The middle infielder demonstrated solid footwork allowing for advantageous routes to the ball and an explosive, low center of gravity. Soft hands worked well out in front and smooth transfers yielded accurate 77 mph arm-strength suggesting a stay at second base at the next level.
