Ben Bortz is a six-foot-two, 185-pound RHP/IF who is a two-time All-Berks I honoree from Exeter HS.  He pitches from a high 3/4 arm slot with a fastball at 82-83 (topping at 85 mph).  Bortz also features a solid breaking ball that ranges from 71-75 and a change-up from 67-70.  As a junior, he threw 40 innings with 46 strikeouts, 22 walks, and a .229 opponents' batting average.  Bortz also hit .306 with 12 runs, 11 RBI, and a .397 on-base percentage.  He played his summer baseball for Exeter Legion, striking out 49 in 46 innings, with 28 walks and a .219 opponents' batting average.
