Kyle DatresA game changing middle infielder is one of the rarest commodities among college baseball prospects and the Class of 2015 has three of them in the top ten of the updated rankings released today. Moving to the top of the rankings is SS Kyle Datres (Loyalsock Township) after having been at number two for some time. Datres is a three-sport star who has the ability to affect the game with his defense, his arm (89 mph off the mound) and at the plate. Datres was an All-State selection as a freshman in 2012 and also won nine games on the hill.

Pushing Datres for the No. 1 spot is SS John Aiello (Germantown Academy). Aiello has prototypical major league shortstop size at 6-foot-2, 185-pounds and a solid arm at 86 mph across the diamond. Aiello has been a member of the 14U and 15U USA National Teams the past two summers. He has been named Preseason Player of the Year in the highly competitive Inter-Academic League by Prep Baseball Report.

New to the top ten are two left-handed pitchers who have impressed recently. Moving to the No. 9 spot is 6-foot-3, 200-pound lefty Connor Higgins (Parkland HS). Higgins has been 85-87 this winter with a tight breaking 70 mph curveball. Close on his heels at No. 10 is lefty Dylan Cyphert (Cranberry HS). The 6-foot, 170-pound sophomore has also been 85-87 this winter with room to add to his frame. Higgins and Cyphert will join RHP Brian Albert (Plum HS), ranked No. 5, as members of Team Pennsylvania's roster at the 2013 Midwest Future Games in August.

Following is the breakdown of the top ten heading into the start of the 2013 high school season. Rankings will be updated again in June following the state playoffs.
