Spotlight on George Washington Commit Colin Gibbons-Fly

SS/3B Colin Gibbons-Fly gives meaning to his last name. The 6-foot-1, 180-pound prospect topped all runners at the Top Prospect Games earlier this month, running a 6.88 60-yard dash on a slow track. Gibbons-Fly, who committed to George Washington University just days after the event ended, is a well rounded player. He impressed in all facets of the game at the event showcasing an 86mph arm across the infield, good range and soft hands, as well as a bat exit speed of 82mph. Gibbons-Fly is a graduate of DeMatha Catholic in Baltimore, MD. He is attending a post-graduate year at Mercersburg Academy preparing for the transition to college baseball.
