Western PA Fall Review Highlights

The Fall College Prospect Program concluded yesterday with a stop at La Roche College for the Western PA Fall Reveiw. Following is a look at top in game performances as well as a look at a few prospects that shined during the showcase portion of the day. Complete statistical results on all prospects in attendance will be released tomorrow.

BLACK TEAM:

+ 2018 MIF/RHP Nick Leonard (Brooke, WV) showcased a solid two-way skill set, going 2-for-3 with a double, a run scored and an RBI in the 9:00 game. The 5-foot-10, 170-pound sophomore also showcased an 82 mph bat exit velocity and topped at 83 mph on the mound.

+ Uncommitted senior RHP Mike YaSenka (Franklin, PA) sat 83-85 while topping at 87 mph. The 6-foot-2, 180-pound righty also showcased a feel for his curveball with 11/5 rotation that sat 73-75.

+ Uncommited senior RHP Tre' Thomas (Ambridge, PA) sat 80-83 with some arm side run to his fastball and solid feel for his 68 mph curveball with 11/5 rotation. Thomas registered seven strikeouts in three scoreless innings of work.

+ 2017 RHP/1B Josh McKnight (Central - Martinsburg, PA) displayed a solid left-handed swing with a 90 mph bat exit velocity while turning in one of the top rounds of batting practice on the day. The 6-foot-2, 180-pound righty also sat 80-83 with significant cut to his fastball.

BLUE TEAM:

+ Uncommitted senior OF/RHP Cole Horew (Chartiers Valley, PA) stood out as the top prospect in attendance. The 6-foot, 165-pound two-way prospect ran a 7.00 60-yard dash, flashed 84 mph arm strength from the outfield and an 87 mph bat exit velocity. Horew went 5-for-6 with two doubles and an inside-the-park home run in game action and topped at 86 mph on the mound.

+ 2017 RHP Hunter Treece (Pine-Richland, PA) worked three scoreless innings topping at 82 mph with solid command of a 71 mph curveball. The 5-foot-10, 165-pound righty allowed one hit and struck out three during his time on the mound.
