Bleday completed his college career as a junior and senior at the University of Pennsylvania. Over two seasons as a Quaker, Bleday logged 103.1 innings of work and recorded a 4-7 record.

The 5-foot-11, 175-pound lefty was drafted in the 27th round of the 2017 MLB Draft and has spent the past two summers in the Houston Astros organization. Bleday has compiled a 3.40 ERA at four different stops in that time while going 4-4 with two saves in 76.2 innings of work. Always a strike thrower, Bleday has continued that trend at the professional level with a 2:1 strikeouts to walks ratio. He has also held opposing hitters to an impressive .204 batting average against mark.

Bleday is likely to be joined at the professional level in the near future by his brother JJ Bleday (Vanderbilt), currently a college junior and ranked No. 11 in the PBR College Draft 150.

Scouting Report

4/3/12 Adam is a polished pitcher who sits 85-86 and tops out at 88MPH. He has run a 6.87 60 and was named the 2011 Amateur Baseball Report national player of the year.

8/15/12 While Bleday did not have the top outfield velo, his 84mph was second best at the event. Bleday showed the best carry of any outfield arm and his 6.97 60-yard dash is evidence of his ability to track down a fly ball.  On the mound Bleday topped out at 87mph with excellent location and late arm side run. The 5-foot-11, 185-pound lefty also showcased a solid 76mph curveball and a sinking changeup that sat 78-80.
