10 High Risers in the Updated 2021 Rankings

Brandon Hall
North Carolina Director of Scouting

The release of any set of rankings gets a lot of attention at Prep Baseball Report.  As players enter the summer prior to the their Junior year, there is more scrutiny on the class of players as they are getting their first taste of the full recruiting experience.  While less than 10% of the 2021 class has actually made a college decision, familiar names are coming off the board, and in our area the ACC is working to stock pile their classes.

The summer prior the Junior year is also the first summer the staff at PBR has a firm feel on a large portion of the rising Junior class.  Between the PBR Future Games, the PBR Top Prospect Games, the PBR Top Underclass Games, and the State Games of NC, PBR scouts are able to become much more detailed in scouting reports and projection of players.

The updated NC Class of 2021 Rankings were expanded to the top 150, adding 60 slots to the rankings, and 63 new players.  Today we dive into the rankings to take a look at 10 players that made big moves inside the rankings, with big moves up the chart.
