2017 PBR Draft 100: By The Numbers

On Monday, the 2017 PBR Draft 100 was released, ranking the top high school prospects. The list was compiled after a summer of crisscrossing the country to see the top events on the showcase circuit. Today, we take a closer look at the list by dissecting some of the demographics.

There are 26 states—including Puerto Rico and the Canadian province of Ontario—represented in the top 100. A third of the list calls either California or Florida home. Hardly surprising as both those states are known for producing most of the major league talent in baseball. Each had 17 prospects with the next closest state being Georgia with nine.
