11/04/18 ostinger/gatorball fall camp

Caden Kok, RHP, Winter Haven (2022)
An athletic 5-foot-11, 155 pounds, looks taller than that and wouldn’t be surprised if he shoots up a few inches. The arm action is a bit short, but has a quick arm and the ball comes out of the hand well. The fastball worked mostly 80-81 mph. Showed a changeup at 66-67 mph and a curveball at 66 mph. Young arm with a lot of upside.

Ryan Fry, RHP, Wharton (2022)
6-foot-2, 160 pounds he has a long, lean and ultra projectable frame. One of the most intriguing prospects of the weekend. Coule the projectable frame with an arm action that's free and easy, you have a lot to like. The fastball worked 80-83 touching 85 mph with late life in the zone. Flashed and above average curveball, with late depth, at 68-70 mph. Overall, the mechanics are clean, the frame is projectable and the arm works, which makes for a very high ceiling right-hander.

Colby Shelton, SS, Bloomingdale (2022)
The 5-foot-11, 155 pound left handed hitting middle infielder stood out all weekend. Defensively, he has some present twitchy athleticism and a feel for the infield. Hands and feet work well together and works with rhythm. Really stands out offensively, where he has a simple swing with the same ability to work with rhythm. The path is slightly uphill and has ability to turn the barrell. Overall, the swing is compact and should continue to play up and will have a very high offensive ceiling as he continues to mature and add strength.

Bryan Boully, RHP, Strawberry Crest (2021)
Strength throughout the 6-foot-2, 210 pound frame, he has continued to lean out some as well. The arm action has some length to it and can get off line, but is able to get to extension and repeat. The fastball sits mostly 83-85 mph and is heavy with late action. Slider has some tilt at 71-73 mph and changeup has fade at 75 mph. Interesting arm to follow to see how he continues to progress.
