Orlando, FL- From August 15-17th one of the top organizations in the state, Power Baseball, held their 2018 Fall Tryouts for players in the 2019-2022 classes. Players participated in bullpens Friday night, a pro-style workout on Saturday, and games on Sunday.

With over 125 players in attendance, there was plenty of talent all over the field throughout the weekend. Below are 25+ players who stood out and are highlighted through report and video:

Najer Victor RHP / OF / East Ridge, FL / 2020

Central Florida recruit. Currently stands at 6-foot-1, 160 pounds with a projectable, athletic frame. One of the top prospects throughout the weekend as he stood out all over the field. During his bullpen on Friday night, he displayed a quick arm and the ball jumps out of his hand with little to no effort. Fastball mostly sat 88-90 mph, touching 91 a couple times with life while he also mixed in a 71-72 mph sharp slider and a 78-79 mph changeup with sink. The arm is very quick and there’s more to come as he fills out his frame. Showed his above average athleticism when he clocked in at 6.70 seconds for his 60 yard dash time. Offensively, he shows above average bat speed with present gap-to-gap power, sending the ball deep into the gaps during batting practice. Present feel for the barrel and more power to come as he matures. Victor has a high ceiling and shows above average to near plus tools all over the field. Very high follow.

Clocked in at 7.04 seconds for his 60 yard dash time. From the outfield, he showed actions along with carry and accuracy on his throws to the bag that topped out at 87 mph. Offensively, there’s some present pull side power and the ball jumps off the bat. Has strong hands through the zone and really drives the ball with authority. Uncommitted. Currently stands at 6-foot-1, 165 pounds with a loose, athletic, projectable frame with long limbs. Above average feel for the game for his age, shows natural actions. Impressed all over the field throughout the weekend. During his bullpen on Friday night, he showed a loose, quick arm and a repeatable delivery which featured a fastball that mostly sat 80-82 mph, touching 83 with life. Also mixed in a 61-62 mph curveball with depth and a 71-72 mph changeup with some fade. From the outfield, he takes efficient routes to the ball and shows an above average arm with accuracy and carry on his throws, topping out at 83 mph. Shows solid, defensive actions around the bag at first. Offensively, he shows a smooth swing with above average bat speed from the left side which consistently finds the barrel. Displays the ability to go gap-to-gap and sit back on the breaking ball to take it the other way. Moran shows multiple above average tools for his age, but his highest ceiling is on the mound. Look for him to make a number of jumps as he continues to add to his frame and mature. Very high follow.
