TNT

Andrew Whetsell SS / RHP / Upper Arlington, OH / 2019

Report: On the mound Whetsell utilized similar arm path and motion with his upper as would be expected from a middle infielder. He mostly used a slide step, but he still showed good rhythm and athleticism in his delivery. His fastball sat between 74-78 mph from a ¾ arm slot and stayed true through the zone, and he showed the ability to pitch up in the zone with fastball when ahead in the count. He also threw a serviceable slurvey type breaking ball that sat between 62-64 mph, and showed a developing changeup that had some fade to it. At the plate he continued to display good athleticism and body control. He utilized a toe tap load from an upright stance, and his bat path seemed to provide natural lift when making quality contact.
