2019 Overall Rankings Updated And Expanded

With the fall season concluded, the 2019 Overall Rankings have been updated and expanded, with SS Bobby Witt Jr. (Colleyville Heritage HS, TX) holding on to the No. 1 spot. While there are significant changes since the last update, the top 10 from the initial High School Draft 100 remains intact. That includes a noteworthy change to the dynamic of the Overall Rankings.

Thanks to Prep Baseball Report’s state specific coverage, combined with summer and fall coverage from the national staff, the 2019 Overall Rankings now include all states and territories with draft eligible players. Most notably, that brings Puerto Rico and the Pacific Northwest into the fold, not to mention several other states with top prospects. The list also now goes to 500.

IF Tyler Callihan (Providence School, FL) made a significant jump, landing in the top 20. He’s always been known for his exceptional hit tool and continued to show it throughout the fall, but also looked to be in better shape physically and sparked intrigue when he hopped behind the plate at the Florida Diamond Club Showcase in October. OF Sam Siani (William Penn Charter School, PA) had a strong performance at the World Wood Bat Championship in Jupiter, FL, vaulting him to No. 39. A strong fall also boosted the stock of RHP Tyler Nesbitt (Labelle HS, FL), who recently switched his commitment to Florida and checks in at No. 68. OF/1B Jason Hodges (Marist HS, IL) was a big standout at Jupiter, consistently squaring balls up and driving them with his natural strength. He jumped into the top 100 and landed at No. 75.
