2023 PBR All-American Game, Spotlight: Dasan Hill

On Saturday, Sept. 23, Prep Baseball Report is hosting its inaugural High School All-American Game at American Family Field, home of the Milwaukee Brewers. The unique event will feature the nation’s top high school seniors who are set to battle against a roster of the country’s best juniors in Class of 2024 vs. Class of 2025 action, giving pro scouts a unique look at current and future draft classes.

We’ve begun to unveil the event’s participants on our social media channels, and we’ll spotlight those players more closely on our site, too, highlighting past performances and scouting reports from the live looks we’ve gathered on this gifted group throughout the years.

Next we are highlighting Dasan Hill, a Texas native and one of the top southpaws in the nation's senior class. Hill offers immense upside in his lean and projectable 6-foot-2 frame. He was absolutely stellar at the 2022 PBR Texas State Games, committing to Dallas Baptist shortly after the event. Since then, Hill has been a name-to-know in the 2024 class and sits comfortably within the top-100 recruits in the nation.

Here is what Prep Baseball Report's VP of Scouting Shooter Hunt said about Hill prior to the start of the summer: "Loose and wiry with an athletic, 6-foot-2 frame that should hold much more strength in coming years, Hill has seen steady gains over the past 12 months that have allowed prospect status to rise in accordance. A favorite within PBR circles over the past two years, the quick-armed southpaw saw a significant velocity increase (now up to 91 mph) this spring as he racked up a staggering number of strikeouts. In what is quickly becoming the norm for Dallas Baptist recruits, Hill continues to rise late into his high school career, and could have a big summer especially should he show the future starter potential that is expected."
