5 to Know for 2022

In case you missed it, we recently released on final edition of the 6A Power Rankings earlier this week. The Grant Generals finished the 2021 season as our #1 team based on their total body of work and a 17-1 record, which was tops in 6A.
With that being said, it's never too early to look ahead to 2022 and start to to predict which teams might be primed for a big season.
Here are 5 to know for 2022...
JESUIT
The Crusaders, who interestingly enough will remain the “defending state champions (2019)”, are no stranger to having a bullseye painted on the uniform, and will certainly have one again thanks to a plethora of talent that gives Coach Colin Griffin plenty of options. 2022 LHP Nelson Keljo, an Oregon State recruit, established himself as one of the premier arms in the state this season, and is a bonafide ace thanks to a swing-and-miss low 90s fastball. But Keljo is not alone, and with six 2023s ranked in the top 20 in the state for the class, all who gained experience at the varsity level in this shortened season, the squad has a chance to make a massive step forward next spring
