ANNOUNCEMENT: Cullen McGowan Joins Prep Baseball Report Team

Prep Baseball Report is proud to welcome Cullen McGowan to our ever-expanding team. McGowan comes to Prep Baseball Report with a deep background in the business of baseball and is well-connected within the professional ranks.

McGowan spent the past four years managing the MLB and amateur baseball business at TrackMan. TrackMan changed professional baseball and how teams operate. At TrackMan, he was at the front line of the game becoming more data driven. As the primary contact for all 30 MLB teams, he understands how data is used and impacting decision making from the draft to player development. 

“We couldn’t be more excited to introduce Cullen as member of the Prep Baseball Report family,” said Prep Baseball Report President Sean Duncan. “His breadth of knowledge across all levels of baseball fits perfectly with several new company initiatives. He is a process-oriented critical thinker who has achieved in everything he has done. Above all, Cullen McGowan is a high-quality human whose ethos aligns with our company’s mission.”

During his time at TrackMan, McGowan finished a Master’s degree at Columbia University, bird-dogged with the Cubs and helped evaluate investment opportunities for professional athletes. Prior to his professional career, he graduated from the University of Arizona with three degrees from the Eller College of Management. 

He began his career in sports while in law school at Gonzaga University, where he worked in the Ultimate Fighting Championship’s legal department and Gonzaga General Counsel’s office. He assisted in matters regarding athletic eligibility and regulatory compliance with various athletic commissions and the NCAA. After graduating with honors, McGowan passed the Nevada Bar exam and worked at SSG Baseball and assisted player agents with free agent and salary arbitration cases.

Now, McGowan will serve as Managing Director at Prep Baseball Report, where he will help oversee all business units while shepherding upcoming initiatives.
