+ TUESDAY, MARCH 21ST

+ RHP Joseph Garrison (Priceville, 2023) was the tough-luck loser in his start on Tuesday night versus 7A Huntsville in the 2-0 Panther victory. The 6-foot-5, 240-pound Garrison, a Troy signee, certainly looks like a Division 1 pitcher right now and has the stuff to go along with it as well. Working from a clean and simple delivery, Garrison uses his powerful-lower half well and has little effort in his delivery which certainly bodes well for the future as he is an arm that will probably have no issues adding velocity once he suits up for the Trojans. Garrison established the fastball early and was able to move the pitch around, locating to both halves of the plate while also showing the ability to elevate the pitch when needed. The senior opened up 87-88 mph early in the game and was still 86-87 mph into the sixth inning. Starting with the second time through the order, he mixed in a slower breaking ball at times at 65-67 mph that showed some late depth in which he was able to throw for strikes. For the night, Garrison worked six innings, striking out seven while only allowing four hits and two earned runs. He showed solid command throughout his outing as he threw 67% (59/88) of his total pitches for strikes.
