+ 1B Cole Edwards (Spain Park, 2023) certainly passes the eye test in a baseball uniform standing 6-foot-4, 205-pounds with defined physical strength, and continues to be one of the state’s top run-producers hitting in the two-hole for the Jaguars. An Auburn signee, Edwards is one more physically imposing prospects in the state but has shown the ability this year to work to the opposite field more while still showing the same pull-side power. A former PBR Future Gamer, the senior possesses big time tools across the board with 100+ mph exit velocities, 6.79 60 yard-dash, and more using his physical frame. During yesterday’s pivotal area contest, the right-hander drove in runs at a premium with a pair of doubles and four RBI’s. Using a more compact stroke hitting from the right side, the ball jumps off of his bat with the ability to drive the ball to the both gaps and use the whole field in his approach. He finished going 2-for-3 with two doubles, four RBIs, and a walk.
