Arkansas Draft Preview

The 2015 Major League Draft takes place June 8-10. In advance of the draft, Prep Baseball Report is posting a summary of each state in the coverage area with scouting reports on the top high school draft prospects.

Most of the draft talent Arkansas produces comes out college, particularly from the Razorbacks, and just eight high school players have been selected in the top 10 rounds since 2000. RHP Gray Fenter (West Memphis HS, AR) is looking to be the highest pick since RHP Dillon Howard was popped in the second round in 2011. There is a drop off after Fenter, but we could look back in three years and see some interesting prospects came out of this class and developed in college.

Top Prospects

1. Gray Fenter, RHP, West Memphis HS, AR
Committed to Mississippi State, Fenter has a thick frame at 6-foot-1, 210 pounds with strength.
