Cooper Rawls - RHP - Hallsville HS - 2018
Uncommitted. 6-foot-2, 190 pound frame. Rawls showed some grit tonight. In the first inning he was sitting 88 mph and topped at 89 with a heavy fastball. In the 2nd inning, he got into a bit of jam when he allowed the bases loaded, but the senior pitcher kept his composure and ended the threat with a strike out on an 88 MPH FB. He showed great feel for three pitches. Changeup showed good fade at 78-79 mph. 12-6 Shape CB worked well at 70-71. He finished his outing with 5 Ks in 2 IP.
Easton Loyd - SS - Hallsville HS - 2020
5-Foot-9, 150 pound frame. Loyd showed advanced actions at SS on multiple plays. Quick foot work and range to both sides. The left-handed hitter has a short, compact swing. Barreled up twice, managing the first hit of the game in the fourth inning. He showed his speed when he scored from 1B on a well executed hit and run. He also ran a 4.19 on a 6-3 ground out. Loyd is a great athlete, and shows room for growth. Good leader on the field.
Tyler JC Signee. 6-0, 180 pound frame, worked from the stretch position. Long arm swing, but showed a repeatable delivery from a true 3/4 arm slot. FB was 84-85 and topped at 87. The slider had good spin with late break at 75. Also mixed in a change up that missed barrels all night at 78-79. He was efficient and in the zone with all three pitches.
