PBR was on hand for a huge region matchup between Blue Ridge and Chapman with both schools having their ace on the mound. Chapman handed the ball to '23 Jacob Cogdell and he would turn in an incredible performance scattering 3 hits and striking out 8 before he ran into some trouble in the 7th inning. He was countered by '24 LHP AJ Cammarota who turned in another great performance on the mound for Blue Ridge going 6 innings while striking out 13 batters. Chapman was able to get a run in the 5th inning off of an E6. In the 7th inning down 1-0 Blue Ridge would scratch 2 across via walks and another from a Kiniry single to put them ahead 3-1 going into the bottom of the 7th. Chapman would get a run in the 7th but Blue Ridge would hold on to take Game 1 of the region series.
