Every hitter has the opportunity to win the at-bat before they even step into the batter's box. The on deck circle is a tool that is extremely underutilized and wasted away. This is the opportunity that hitters have before every single at-bat to mentally prepare to succeed at the plate. A different pitcher may have entered the game since your last at-bat and the on deck circle allows for time to readjust your swing to his tendencies.

Additionally, if it is late in the game the defense's strategy may have switched to a more off-speed or fastball minded approach.

The on deck circle allows hitters the time to physically and mentally prepare for what they are about to see in the box.

Chris Burke wants to ensure that every hitter in America is using this preparation time to the best of their ability. In this week's tip of the week with Prep Baseball Report, he'll quickly touch on all of these points and more!

NOTE: This video will expire 7 days from post 3/20/2018. If you are viewing this Tip of the Week after its expiration, go to http://ecoach.coach/baseball/ for more information.
