stay inside the ball

Have you ever heard the saying "Stay Inside the Ball"?

It is one of the most commonly used phrases from hitting coaches who work with hitters of all ages. But what does it really mean?

If you think about it, if your hands were not inside of the baseball, your forearm would literally hit the ball in the middle of your swing. With that being said, the mission of a swing should be hitting the back of the baseball with the sweet spot of the bat. This includes keeping the sweet spot of the barrel inside of the ball.

However, there is a fine line and getting too far inside of the ball creates poor results.

Chris Burke dissects this myth during this week's tip of the week with Prep Baseball Report: Stay Inside The Ball. Check it out and learn how you can properly stay inside of the ball and produce the results you want!

NOTE: This video will expire 7 days from post 1/9/2018. If you are viewing this Tip of the Week after its expiration, go to http://ecoach.coach/baseball/ for more information.
