Where Should my bat be?

*Stuart Fairchild Jr. Golden Spikes Award Semi-Finalist*

One of the breakout players of the year this year was none other than Stuart Fairchild Jr. of the Wake Forest Demon Deacons. Blasting nearly 20 home runs and hitting over .350, Fairchild had a year to remember.

Why is the bat angle important and how has Fairchild mastered this position?
Well it’s simple. As long as the knob of the bat is going towards the catcher and the barrel is moving towards the pitcher, then we are in the right position! All year long Fairchild had a consistent bat angle and he found a great deal of success. To practice this move, watch Chris Burke’s Tip of the Week below: Separation - Bat Angle.
