As we've discussed in previous Tips of the Week, Separation is the first part of the swing.

A hitter's hands should be moving back as their front foot is moving forward. The Separation move sets you up for everything that is about to happen next.

If a hitter doesn't separate correctly, they typically find themselves out in front on the pitch. To ensure this doesn't happen, you have to practice it just like anything else.

In this week's tip of the week, Chris Burke demonstrates a drill that forces a hitter to separate. It's a drill for all ages. Give it a try!

NOTE: This video will expire 7 days from post 4/24/2018. If you are viewing this Tip of the Week after its expiration, go to http://ecoach.coach/baseball/ for more information.
