College Crosscheck: 2021 Week Nine MAC, ACC, SEC Prospects

After spending three of the past four weeks in the SEC, it was time to shift gears and begin pecking away at the numerous potential top round arms in the Midwest. Near the top of that list was a lefty from Ohio University who just happened to be making a Friday afternoon start a couple hours from my home. From there it was onto South Bend to see the magical Irish in their series against the NC State Wolfpack.


Niko Kavadas, 1B, Notre Dame- Ranked No. 2 in the recent D1 Baseball Analytics, Kavadas is a power-hitting first baseman with 37 career home runs and counting, including 13 for far in 2021. Although his home run pace the last nine games has slowed with just one total, Kavadas remains a threat to go up top every at-bat. At 6-foot-1, 235 pounds, the left-handed hitting Kavadas resembles another Hooiser state hitter...
