Draft League Spotlight: Aiden Stewart

Player: Aidan Stewart
Position: OF/3B

School: Next Level Academy

It’s easy to identify Stewart on the diamond with his Major League-esque body and loud physical tools. The top-ranked shortstop prospect in Alabama this year, Stewart has a lanky, 6-foot-5, 200-pound frame that is teeming with projection. He has quick feet and athletic actions on the infield, as well as a cannon for an arm that produced event-record 94-mph throws across the infield at the 2019 Future Games. Some evaluators view the Missouri commit as an outfielder at the next level based on his size and fringy speed. A switch-hitter, Stewart shows some swing-and-miss and timing-related rawness from both sides of the plate that should improve as he continues to add strength and gains experience. His bat speed is explosive from both sides, and scouts really like the combination of balance and power that Stewart features in his pretty left-handed swing.
