Draft League Spotlight: Hylan Hall

David Seifert
Director of College Scouting

Player: Hylan Hall
Position: CF
School: Wabash Valley College

A superb athlete loaded with tools, Hall is a Washington State commit after spending the fall semester his freshman year at Miami (FL). A potential five-tool prospect, Hall is a well-known talent on the scouting circuit. He’s a power runner with good acceleration and can cruise his way to the low 6.6s in the sixty. He shows an above average arm with solid carry from the outfield and moves easy to the ball while showing sure hands and confidence in his defensive actions. With a quiet approach and repeatable swing Hall has both good bat speed and bat strength at the plate. His swing can get out of sync with his upper body getting ahead of his lower half causing him to pull off the ball, but he has good balance and the strength to make up for some imperfections. Based on tools alone, Hall is easily a top five round prospect, but one who must find a high performance level to complete his scouting package.
