Player: Peyton Zabel
Position: RHP
School: Iowa Western CC

Selected out of high school in the 19th round of the 2018 draft by the Milwaukee Brewers, the Louisiana-Lafayette commit shows the ability to command the zone with three-pitches while challenging hitters from the right side. Even with an imposing 6-foot-7, 235-pound frame, Zabel moves extremely well down the mound with power in his lower half and solid extension out front. Delivering from a high three-quarter arm slot, Zabel shows arm speed with a long, clean delivery and some effort, typically working from a quick rocker-step delivery. His fastball sits between 90-93 mph, occasionally touching mid-upper 90’s with riding life to the arm-side and averaging spin near 2000 rpm. Zabel shows feel for an 11/5 curveball with good spin and flashes of depth that he uses as his out-pitch, which sits at 78-81 mph and averaging spin at 2361 rpm. His changeup is the third pitch in his repertoire, which he tunnels well with the same slot and arm-speed as his fastball, showing sink and some fade at 78-81 mph with spin in the 1800 rpm range.
