Elite South 2025 Tournament - Stat Leaders

Brandon Hall
Mid-Atlantic Scouting Director

PBR was on hand on Saturday and Sunday, September 17 and 18, for the Elite South 2025 tournament.  Hosted at the Knothole Foundation's Tuckaseegee Dream Fields in Charlotte, NC, the field consisted of six teams with players from VA, NC, and SC.  Each team played a double header on Saturday to setup seeding for Sunday's bracket play where a champion was named.

The tournament field featured Legacy Baseball (SC), CBC 2025 (NC/SC), CBC 2026 (NC/SC), Team Virginia (VA), Queen City Corndogs (NC), and the Lake Norman Bulldogs (NC).  The event was setup for graduates from the 2025 and 2026 classes.  After day 1, Legacy Baseball and CBC 2026 secured the top two seeds and a bye into the semi-finals on Sunday.  As the day played out CBC 2025 won three games on Sunday and clipped Legacy Baseball in the finals to secure the weekend's championship.

Below we dive into some of the numbers from the weekend.  PBR Scouts were on hand throughout the weekend, taking notes on players and teams as well as capturing stats on players in the game settings.  All of the numbers in these leaderboards are from game settings.

Catcher Pop Times

Pop Times were taken between innings and in game.  For the between inning pop time to register on the list, the catcher and middle infielders needed to treat the pop time as "game-like" as possible.  In game pop times are also considered for this list, but typically the in-game pop times are slower than workout pop times or between inning pop times.

Home to 1st Times

PBR Scouts had the timer on runners working from home to 1st.  In game situations, there are times a runner may pull up, or may be rounding the bag, slowing their times.  For the purpose of this list, times were only used when players seemed to work to get all the way through the bag on balls that had plays at 1B.
