Fall Junior College Standouts

Nathan Rode and PBR Staff

This fall was a busy time for the JuCo Wire crew with tons of scout days and tournament coverage, so of course, there was no shortage of talent seen. Below, The Hotlist highlights some standouts from the last several weeks.

Kaleb Applebey, RHP, Wabash Valley JC (IL)
A Louisiana State recruit, Applebey impressed everyone in attendance at the PUMA Classic with a three up, three down, two punchout relief outing. His plus slider went under bats at 84-86 mph, while his fastball touched 96 and sat 94-95.

Sabin Ceballos, 3B, San Jacinto JC (TX)
At 6-foot-3, 200 pounds, Ceballos is a big, strong guy, with good defensive skills and a plus-plus throwing arm that he isn’t afraid to show off. He has an advanced approach at the plate and the ability to drive the ball to all fields with plus power. He put all that on display at the Texas-New Mexico Junior College All-Star Game.
