Fall Prospect Notes: Boston College

CHESTNUT HILL, MA — The Boston College baseball program went through a tumultuous 2021 season, with plenty of highs and lows. The Eagles began the season 9-2, with series wins over the eventual ACC tourney champion Duke as well as SEC mainstay Auburn. Who could forget the rubber match between BC and Auburn, when BC overcame an eight-run deficit in the ninth inning and went on to win in extras? These were some of the highest highs, as the Eagles climbed to No. 17 in the D1Baseball Top 25. 

Unfortunately, the rest of the season did not go as planned for the Eagles. They struggled in ACC play, losing seven of their eight remaining series against conference foes. When the season concluded, the Eagles were 21-28, with a 10-23 mark in conference. But spirits are high once again, as there has been a true culture change at BC, and there is reason to believe this program will be trending upward in the near future. 

The question is now, how does this Boston College program respond in the 2022 season? What needs to improve? Offensively, there is not a lack of talent...
