Future Games Preview: Team Carolina Catchers & Duals

The PBR Future Games is a one-of-a-kind event that will feature the best uncommitted players in the Class of 2021 and select 2022 prospects from the 40+ state coverage area of PBR.  The Future Games take place on July 31 - August 3 at LakePoint in Cartersville, GA.  Last year more than 250 college coaches from all over the country were in attendance. 

Beginning on Wednesday July 31st with a full pro-style workout for the position players in attendance, the event runs through August 3rd.  Each team will play three games over the three days after the workout day.  Team Carolina will be comprised of players from North and South Carolina.

Team Carolina Preview: Catchers

Bryan Arendt C / 3B / Holly Springs , NC / 2021 Rankings  StateRank: 8 / POS: 1 OverallRank: 335 / POS: 42 Physical 6-foot-1, 190 pounds.  Quickness exists having run a 6.83 sixty for PBR this past June.  Suffered a slight ankle issue a few weeks back that may limit him from running again but he should be good to go behind the dish.  Pop times have ranged in workouts from 1.90 - 2.04.  Exit velocity off the bat at 90 from the right handed hitter.

Justin Lehman C / RHP / Nation Ford, SC / 2021 Rankings  StateRank: 42 / POS: 4 Lanky 6-foot-2, 180 pound receiver with good bend in his hips.  Athletic with quickness behind the dish.  Workout pop times have ranged 1.95 - 2.02 with a positional velocity of 78 mph out of the crouch.  Ball can jump off the left handed hitter's bat with an exit velocity that has peaked at 91 mph

Team Carolina Preview: Duals

Michael Gracer 3B / 1B / Northwest Cabarrus, NC / 2021 Rankings  StateRank: 27 / POS: 2 The right hander's arm and bat were leaned on heavily in the high school season where he led Northwest Cabarrus back to the post-season.  The fastball has been up to 84, playing higher out of the hand with a hard, top to bottom breaking ball.  In the box, there are big "hitterish" tendencies with his rhythm, setup, and bat path.  The ball can jump off the barrel with a top end exit velocity posted at 96 mph.

Isaiah Lowe RHP / 3B / Christ School, NC / 2022 Rankings  StateRank: 31 / POS: 7 StateRank: 13 / POS: 5 Quite possibly the most out-of-date head shot in the PBR system, Lowe has matured and added physical strength in the past year, becoming a threat in the box and on the mound.  This summer he has turned heads with his performances at LakePoint, bumping 90 with more to come as the arm continues to quicken.  In the box, there is damage done when on the barrel.
