Grant Holmes (SC) Trending Up Before Draft

RHP Grant Holmes (Conway HS, SC) doesn’t possess the prototypical pitcher’s frame. He’s more “what you see is what you get”, but what you get is pretty good. Holmes consistently sat in the low 90s last summer, touching higher at times and showed off an excellent, power breaking ball.
There was a mixed camp during the showcase season about whether or not Holmes, a Florida recruit, profiled as a starter with the knocks being his frame and ability to hold velocity. While he would flash a mid-90s fastball early in games, he would settle in at 90-92 mph in later innings.
