Heart of America Hotlist: Football/Baseball Standouts

By: PBR Staff

The ‘Hotlist’ has returned, as our Missouri, Kansas, Oklahoma, Arkansas and Colorado staffs have come together to spotlight different players from our respective regions.

With the NCAA National Championship concluded, we decided to turn our attention to players who stood out on the gridiron this past season and are talented prospects on the baseball field, too.

Learn more about one multi-sport star from each state below.

THE HOTLIST

Adam Shipley RHP / Francis Howell, MO / 2024

Shipley quarterbacked the Vikings to a dominant season in 2022, one that ultimately culminated in a 5A state championship. He completed nearly 63% of his passes for almost 2,000 passing yards, tossing 26 touchdowns in the process. Shipley produced in the ground game as well, carrying the ball 118 times for 872 yards and 13 rushing scores. Aside from leading an offense that averaged more than 40 points per game, Shipley is a more than formidable talent on the mound. He attended the PBR Future Games last summer and boasts a fastball that’s been up to 90 mph with a sharply spun breaking ball to pair. Committed to St. Louis, Shipley will now turn his attention to helping Francis Howell take home a baseball state title this spring.
