Heart of America Hotlist: Preseason All-State Attendees

PBR Staff

The ‘Hotlist’ has returned, as our MissouriKansasOklahomaArkansas and Colorado staffs have come together to spotlight different players from our respective regions.

Today we’re turning our attention towards top-ranked prospects headed to the Preseason All-State event in each of our states. The Preseason All-State has been a staple on our showcase calendar for quite some time now as the premier invite-only event we’ll run this winter.

THE HOTLIST

TYLER WOODOF / LEE'S SUMMIT WEST, MO / 2025

Wood ascended to elite tier status quickly in Missouri’s 2025 class, firmly entrenching himself as one of the state’s top sophomores and slotting within the top-100 on our national list, too. He’s a powerful arm, one that’ll likely creep towards triple-digits down the road, and pumped his fastball in the 88-90 mph at Creekside this summer. It’s one of the better fastballs in the Midwest’s 2025 cycle, riding through the zone with late life and clear carry. He’ll generate whiffs with that heater at a high rate and, while still developing his secondaries, has flashed downer spin on his slider to our staff in the past. Wood’s athleticism and twitch isn’t really a question either, as we've seen him run as fast as a 6.76 60 at 6-foot-3, 190-pounds. Still uncommitted, Wood is headed our way on February 12th for the MOKAN Preseason All-State.
