HAMILTON - There was never any pressure to follow in his brother’s footsteps but that will be the direction Trevor House takes in college. A commitment to Eastern Michigan assures that the Hamilton Ross left-hander will be part of the same program as Thomas House. “He didn’t give any input, he wanted me to make my own decision,” the Hamilton Ross senior-to-be said of his brother, who just completed freshman year at EMU. “He said what he liked about the program and after that I felt it was the right fit for me. “I really like the coach and the atmosphere there,” House continued. “I feel the program is going in the right direction.” Interest in the younger house came through his older sibling. “Last summer after Thomas committed they asked about me,” House said. “Then they came up to see me.” Six PBR showcases including the Central Ohio Preseason Preview in February and the Top Prospect Games last June helped get his name out there for exposure. “I had a couple other Division I schools contact me,” the 6-0 150-pounder said. “Once Eastern Michigan made me an offer I thought about it for awhile and decided to take that offer.” EMU’s interest came about, in part, to similarities with his brother. |
