No. 5 Providence Catholic 5, Plainfield East 3
RHP Bryce Barnett got the win on the mound for Providence going four innings, allowed one run on two hits and struck out seven. Alex Helmin, Dylan Gorski and Nick Jones all had two hits in the win.

No. 7 Lincoln-Way East 11, Geneva 1
Lincoln-Way East improves to 3-1 on the season with the win. Cole Kirschsieper got the win on the mound and Ryan Ritter hit a two-run home run for East.

No. 9 Sandburg 8, Richards 5
Branden Comia and Matt Kocinski paced the Sandburg offense with two hits apiece. One of Comia’s hits was a double and catcher Ryan Hampe also doubled in the win.

No. 11 Brother Rice 9, Simeon 8 (6 innings)
RHP Eli Sweiss got the win in relief for Brother Rice. Sweiss struck out five in 3.2 innings of work. Jack Payton and Mike Hopkins had three RBI each in the win. Payton also had a double, the only extra base hit for Brother Rice. Lorenz Elion went 2-for-4 with three RBI in the loss.

No. 16 Crystal Lake South 10, Conant 0
Kyle Lang pitched Crystal Lake South Gators to the victory. Lang lasted five innings, allowing one hit and no runs while striking out seven and walking zero. Mike Paul threw one inning in relief for South. Kyle Hetherington, Noah Tyrrell and Blake Kuffel all collected multiple hits in the win.

No. 22 Marist 10, Marmion 0
Marist moves to 3-0 on the year. RHP John Kubin went four innings, one hit and struck out eight in the win. Jack Brannigan added three RBI and Justin Janas collected two for Marist. Max Malley, Nick Doman, Jack Anderson and Jason Hodges also added an rbi each.

MORE GAMES

Coal City 11, Beecher 0
Standout sophomore LHP Payton Hutchings struck out all 21 hitters in a seven inning perfect game for Coal City. The Illinois commit, also added a double at the plate. Austin Friddle went 2-for-5 with two RBI and a home run for Coal City.
