Inside the Illinois 2019 Rankings: Risers

By Andy Sroka & Steve Nielsen

On Thursday, we officially updated and revised the Illinois Class of 2019 Rankings to reflect all of the news and notes we’ve been taking on the senior class since last update in mid-July. Today, we’re going to break down the top-250 prospects more closely, by seeing which previously ranked prospects have seen their stocks rise the most headed into the offseason.

We covered a couple risers in Thursday’s post, in which we broke down the top-10 rankings: Marist OFs Jason Hodges (Arkansas commit) and Kendal Ewell (Eastern Kentucky). Hodges is up to No. 3, the highest his ranking has ever been, for the red hot summer he’s had on the national stage. Ewell is up 21 huge spots at No. 6 after offering evaluators a glimpse at what his sky-high ceiling might look like.
