Junior Winter Standouts

Nathan Rode and PBR Staff

Winter events have been going on around the country for the last several weeks and many players are showing improvements. Last week, we highlighted some standout seniors. Now, here are some juniors who have stood out recently.

Nicholas Argento, RHP, Wayzata HS, MN
The 6-foot-5, 175-pound Argento jumped onto the recruiting landscape a few months ago, sitting 85-88  mph and topping out at 90. He has a projectable frame with room for added strength. He throws from a 3/4 slot with a clean arm action and extension to the plate. The fastball has life and is complement by a slider that flashes depth at 74-77.
