Chase Birdwell, C, Lebanon (TN), 2020
9/14/19 - Uncommitted. 5-foot-11, 185-pound right-handed hitting catcher, strong, durable frame, gets the most out of it. Defensively, possesses an advanced skill set behind the dish, very flexible in his ankles and hips, allowing for a compact setup, moves well laterally and a good blocker. Strong arm, traditional action, short and over-the-top, quick transfers and footwork, gets rid of it. Threw a runner out from his knees, 2.25 down to second, clocked at 2.02 between innings. Offensively, open setup, barrel starts on shoulder, long stride, wraps on load, remains balanced through contact. Gap-to-gap type hitter with some pull-side pop, barrel has an uphill trajectory through the zone, flashed the ability to drive it with quick bat speed

Caught a runner stealing with a 2.01 in-game pop time. At the plate has present power; had an exit velocity of 100 mph on a single.

Jacob Harper, C, Paulding County (GA), 2020
9/28/19 - 6-foot-0 175 pounds. While the appearance was short for Harper as Triton rotated catchers the entire day, Harper left a good impression in his short time. The defensive first backstop showed very well in all aspects of catching. He showed soft hands and receiving ability stealing multiple strikes on borderline pitches; his blocking ability matched the ability to receive as he kept numerous dirt balls in front of him within reachable distance. The arm and transfer played as well as he was clocked multiple times in the 1.95-2.06 range. Offensively he made some loud contact as well and is a quality player that should come off the board soon.

Daniel Haab, C, Norcross HS (GA), 2020
9/28/19 - 6-foot-1,170 pounds. Harrison’s battery was made for the outing, showing the makings of a very solid defensive catcher. He handled Harrison very well, had soft hands receiving higher velo and called a good game as he quickly figured out what was working in terms of pitch called. Blocking he showed good ability to smother dirt balls and keep them within reach. He showed off strong accurate throws throwing out multiple runners at 3B.
