Litsch's Lookback: Week 11

Jesse Litsch
Florida Scouting Director

Litsch’s Lookback is a weekly segment that takes a look back at the standouts from that week around the state of Florida. The entire PBR Florida staff and myself will be out for coverage at High School, JUCO, and NCAA baseball games each week. We will highlight the biggest standouts from the games we saw that week.

This past week we had high school and Division 1 coverage across the state of Florida. We had Division 1 coverage at FIU as well as high school coverage in Tampa, Delray Beach, Pensacola, Jacksonville, and St. Petersburg. Take a look at the players who stood out to myself and the rest of our staff this past week.

2023 Tyler Wabnitz, 2B, Keswick Christian

Wabnitz has a great mindset and approach at the dish and seems to find the barrel a ton. He stays short to the ball and has very quick hands. On the defense side of things he made some great plays in the infield. Definitely a kid to follow this summer.

2023 Ethan Chana, RHP, Wesley Chapel

Stocky strong 6-foot, 205 pound frame. Chana came back for the start Thursday night after throwing 3 1/3 scoreless innings on Monday and dominated yet again. He went 5 inn allowing 1 R on 3 hits and 2 k’s. He pounded the zone with a heavy FB and a slow sweeping CB.

FB: 83-86 T87
CB: 61-66

2021 Cameron Horner, RHP, Keswick Christian

Tall, lanky 6-foot, 165 pound frame. Ave Maria commit. Horner was dominant Wednesday night going 7 innings allowing 1 ER on 2  hits and 8 K’s. After a shaky 1st inning he settled in very nicely and took over. He attacked the zone and trusted his stellar defense.
