Litsch's Lookback: Week 6

Jesse Litsch
PBR Florida Scouting Director

Litsch’s Lookback is a weekly segment that takes a look back at the standouts from that week around the state of Florida. I will be around the state of Florida covering high school an JUCO games each week and highlighting my biggest standouts in this segment.

This past week, I caught a few games in the Clearwater and Port St. Lucie as well as some JUCO action. Our Area Scout Rocco Iervasi got to check out some top prospects from Mitchell and Wharton and I gave my take on them as well. Take a look at my biggest Week 6 standouts.

Week 6

2024 Logan Zavala, RHP/INF Treasure Coast

Zavala puts together some good at bats with some hard contact. Started on the mound and looked decent. Shows a good mindset at the dish and had good plate discipline, put barrel on the ball consistently and had quick hands.

2024 Jayden Harriel, INF, East Lake

Harriel, a past Future games participant has shown very smooth actions in the infield with  a great 1st step and soft hands with above average arm speed. Offensively he shows a solid approach with a good understanding of the strike zone, he has above average bat speed with good barrel control and is able to spread the ball to all fields.

Romeo Sanabria, C, Indian River State College

Sanabria continues to swing a red hot bat, he has really impressed showing a good approach at the dish and consistently gets the barrel to the ball. He put together a bunch of solid at bats and produced a lot of loud noise, while showing the ability to hit the ball to all fields. He stays short to the ball and has a very good idea at the plate. Defensively he is solid as well showing the ability to be a solid catcher at the next level.
