Litsch's Lookback: Week 8

Jesse Litsch
PBR Florida Scouting Director

Litsch’s Lookback is a weekly segment that takes a look back at the standouts from that week around the state of Florida. I will be around the state of Florida covering high school an JUCO games each week and highlighting my biggest standouts in this segment.

This past week, I caught a few games in the Clearwater and Tampa area as well as some action in the Panhandle. Our Area Scout Rocco Iervasi got to check out the Polk County Championships and I gave my take on his standouts as well. Take a look at my biggest Week 8 standouts.

Week 8

2022 Pip Smalley, INF, Riverview

Smalley the Stetson commit puts together a solid week. Consistently gets the barrel to the ball on an offensive side and shows a good mindset at the dish. On the bump he put together a solid outing with 10 k’s and threw a complete game.

2022 Jackson Hiatt, INF, Pensacola Catholic

Hiatt continues to excel at the dish, he shows a solid approach and puts together great at bats. He has good barrel control and is able to spread the ball to all fields with present power to the pull side.

2022 Ethan Edge, 1B, Niceville

Edge, the Pensacola State commit puts together a solid week at the dish, he put up consistent numbers across the board and seems to have a solid mindset at the dish. He sprays the ball to all fields and seems to have very good barrel to ball control.
