Matthew Bliven Named PBR Tournaments' National Director

PBR Staff

Prep Baseball Report Tournaments is proud to welcome Matthew Bliven to our team. A true baseball professional with a decade of experience executing prominent national tournaments, Bliven’s role of National Tournament Director will further elevate our high-level tournament offerings from coast-to-coast.

As one of the most widely respected tournament operators in amateur baseball, Bliven will impact Prep Baseball Report’s flagship venues - LakePoint (Atlanta), Creekside (Kansas City), Grand Park (Indianapolis) - along with our satellite venues across the country, ultimately providing travel team organizations a curated event offering of state, regional and national tournaments.

“I couldn’t be more excited to welcome Matthew to our family,” said Prep Baseball Report President Sean Duncan. “Matthew is a true professional in the industry. He’s checked every box there is in the tournament world, and I’m grateful he has finally said yes to come on board. Matthew is an accomplished tournament operator, but what’s perhaps his most remarkable feat is, with all his experience in the industry, you would be hard-pressed to find someone who has a bad word to say about him, which is near-impossible in today’s world.”

Bliven comes to Prep Baseball Report from Wilson Premier, where he created and developed a new tournament arm in 2016, organizing many of the top travel organizations in the country. His tournaments were amenitized, buttoned up and always loaded with talent.

He started his career at Perfect Game in 2011. Early on, he led the effort to increase awareness on the West Coast as the Western Tournament Director.  Eventually, Matthew was responsible for the day-to-day operations, execution, and budgeting of all National events on the schedule.

Now, Bliven brings his wealth of experience and expertise to continue PBR Tournaments’ surging momentum in the tournament landscape.

“In this industry, you are drawn to organizations that share your same passion, beliefs, and mission to grow the game of baseball,” said Bliven. “ I am thrilled to join the Prep Baseball Report team and look forward to doing my part to help elevate PBR Tournaments.”
