The state of Michigan is filled with high-level baseball prospects throughout each corner of the state. The 2018 class has commitments all across the United States, from Vanderbilt to Miami to Kentucky to Missouri to Nebraska and many more colleges across the U.S. When looking at the 2018 rankings, you will see plenty of Michigan colleges littered throughout all of the commitments as well.

Parker Pilat SS / RHP / Country Day, MI / 2020

BEVERLY HILLS - Parker Pilat could not pass up the opportunity to play baseball in the south.

With Michigan, Missouri, Indiana and Purdue among the colleges after the talented Country Day shortstop, the sophomore made a visit to ACC country over the weekend. On Saturday, Pilat committed to Wake Forest.

“Northern baseball is very good, Michigan has a great program and the Big 10 is a great conference,” Pilat explained about his decision. “It’s hard to put into words … but every weekend in the south you’re seeing kids that are going in the first round. For me it just seems like the right place to go to develop.
