Day two of the Diamondskills All-American Camp was another impressive day with a large number of talented players down at Georgetown Prep in their beautiful indoor facility. Today we finish up our outlook from Day two of the event. A large amount of 2021 grads in attendance brought lots of talent, and today we take a look at that class specifically.

Again, it is important to note that we once again include a few arms from their mound session during the second half of the camp. Being the second weekend of January, arms are just starting to get into shape as they prepare for the spring season. As we all know, it is extremely early and this is a time for pitchers to really only start to get their arms into shape. Velocity is only starting to come around as more importantly, pitchers are working on their command / mechanics / and routine this early in the year. Velo's aren't necessarily the end-all-be-all at the moment as they again are working towards the upcoming spring season.

Note: At the conclusion of the All-American Camp, we will have player profiles updated with video and statistics from the event.

Jake Becker IF Sherwood (MD) 2021
Becker has a compact frame who shows plenty of hitterish tendencies at the plate. He hits from a balanced set up with a simple rock back and light leg kick load. His hands are direct to the ball with bat speed and great feel for the barrel. He showed nice rhythm at the plate along with good balance throughout his hitting sessions.

Lucas Brauchli SS George Marshall (VA) 2021
Brauchli is an interesting middle infield prospect out of Northern Virginia. He hits from an open set up with his weight slightly preloaded back. His foot lift load squares him up to the plate as he works to the ball. He has an uphill swing path with average bat speed at the plate and shows some offensive potential. Brauchli showed fluid actions defensively and looks like he could stay on the left side of the inifield down the road.

Nicholas Graham IF Georgetown Prep (MD) 2021
Graham has a strong projectable frame with room to grow. He hits from a balanced, slightly open set up with high hands and flat barrel. Has an involved leg kick load working in and out to hitting position. Shows an uphill path at the plate wanting to lift the baseball and some bat speed. Moved around well defensively with solid glove and exchange to release.

Mitchel Johnson RHP Georgetown Prep (MD) 2021
Johnson has a large frame making an imposing presence on the mound. He has a deliberate delivery with build-up tempo. He has a high leg kick working down to out. Has a shorter, quick arm action that creates some arm speed throwing from a high three-quarter slot. He showed nice command of all three pitches during his pen and looks like he could create some decent velocity down the road. As he strengthens his frame, could definitely be one to keep an eye on. Showed raw strength as a two-way player a the plate with some rawness to his game.

Cooper May OF St. John's (DC) 2021
May has a strong athletic frame who shows bat speed and strength at the plate. He hits from a balanced set up with a rock back load and short leg kick. He gets uphill in his bat path wanting to lift the ball and showed ability to drive the ball to pull side. Nice lower half that can get inconsistent at times and close off. Ran well on the day with a sub-7 60-yard dash. Interesting prospect with some offensive upside.

Isaiah Morris IF Jefferson (WV) 2021
Morris has a projectable, youthful frame that should continue to develop and add strength down the road. He hits from a balanced, athletic set up at the plate. Has a short and simple load to hitting position. Has a short, uphill bat path at the plate with quick hands through the zone. Looks like could be a top of the order type hitter peppering the gaps.

Drew Petitt OF Briar Woods (VA) 2021
Petitt is an interesting sophomore with a compact frame. He hits from an athletic, balanced set up at the plate. He has a short load to hitting position with arm bar. He has a level bat path at the plate with fast bat speed whipping the barrel through the zone. Showed some balance in swing and was intriguing as his BP sessions continued.

Matt Ryan IF Whitman (MD) 2021
Ryan is another intereting 2021 coming out of Walt Whitman HS in MD. He hits from a slightly open, balanced set up at the plate with hands above shoulder. Has a slight sink into his lower half in a simple and quick load with a light leg kick. He showed nice balance at the plate with a shorter, uphill path. Showed nice bat speed during his BP sessions and some strength to pull side. Like his offensive foundation.

Cian Sahler Georgetown Prep (MD) 2021
Sahler is a very interesting offensive prospect at the plate. He hits from a taller, balanced set up. He works hands lower in his load with a short C action getting to hitting position. Closes off slightly with lower half, but showed some impressed hand speed and strength in his hands at the plate. Whipped barrel through the zone with uphill finish and showed some strength to the pull side. Very interesting at the plate. Shows two-way potential as well with a nice mound session.
