Earlier this week our staff updated the state's 2023 rankings, utilizing information we've gathered on players throughout an extensive spring and summer to expand our board to 275 names. To learn more about our official release of these rankings, click HERE.

We're going to dive deeper into the state's current senior class today by shining some light on a handful of uncommitted position players that are still on the board. We'll touch on the pitchers at a later date, so be on the lookout for that as there are an abundance of talented arms still looking for a place to play at the next level scattered across the state.

Read below to learn more about some name-to-know position players that are still uncommitted in Missouri's 2023 class.

POSITION PLAYERS TO KNOW

Jonathan Ludwig SS / Staley, MO / 2023

6-foot, 184-pound frame with strength attached throughout, particularly in the lower half. One of the fastest athletes in the state with an impact run tool; 6.69 60-yard dash this winter. Left-handed bat with inherent strength, flat path to contact.

Lean, lanky 6-foot-2, 180-pound high-waisted athlete. Has ran as fast as a 6.68 60-yard dash in front of our scouts previously. Simple swing from the right side, slightly uphill attack angle at times. Impressed at Creekside during the Kansas City Program Invitational this summer, too.
