Missouri Draft Preview



The 2017 Major League Draft takes place June 12-14. In advance of the draft, Prep Baseball Report is posting a summary of each state in the coverage area with scouting reports on the top high school draft prospects.

A couple of past Missouri high school prospects are in the limelight this year with RHP Alex Lange (Louisiana State) and 3B Jake Burger (Missouri State) expected to be first-round picks. The 2017 high school class is very top heavy in draft terms with RHP Jackson Rutledge (Rockwood Summit HS, MO) being the lone PBR Draft 100 prospect and garnering most of the attention from scouts.

100. Jackson Rutledge, RHP, Rockwood Summit HS, MO
Rutledge has an imposing presence on the mound with his 6-foot-8, 255-pound frame. He was impressive at the Super 60, topping out at 94 mph with heavy life.
