SCOUT BLOG (LISTED ALPHABETICALLY)

Gavin Bradley, C, Eureka, 2024
Uncommitted. 5-foot-10, 175-pound strong, compact stature. Hit cleanup in this look for the Wildcats, driving in a run early on an opposite field barrel. Stays short to the baseball with hand strength to pair. Has been productive throughout his junior campaign, batting .379 and reaching base at a .506 clip with 20 RBIs to pair.

JD Dohrmann, RHP/C, Vianney, 2025
6-foot-1, 175-pound strong, athletic look in a uniform. One of the top prospects in the state’s sophomore class, currently slotted at No. 14 overall. Earned a key district win for the Griffins on the mound, punching out five over six scoreless innings while holding a talented opponent to just three hits. Polished mover downhill, easy operation without much effort. Fastball sat 85-87 mph with more to come and late life. Slurvy-type spin on a breaking ball at 76-78 mph, turned over a changeup at 77-80 mph. Is a high-follow prospect on the mound in the state, regardless of class.

Will Gebhart, INF, Lafayette, 2024
Uncommitted, slotted at No. 89 overall in the state’s junior class. Athletic 5-foot-8, 140-pound frame with lean strength. Started at third base and hit in the two-hole in this look. Scrappy, competitive gamer-type, moves around the infield dirt comfortably and can be an asset on the infield with the glove long-term. Short, simple quiet swing at the plate, got off some competitive hacks in this look. A name-to-know prospect that’s still on the market.
